I am demonstrating this on a Peugeot 206 key, but many other Peugeot and Citroen keys are identical…plus other manufacturers are very similar in principle.

Should mention that the old key can't start the car anymore since you removed the transponder (ie the small black chip).

Want to do this with my house key and fob for the alarm system in one module, do you reckon it'd be possible? Replacement fobs are 40 quid and the entire system including the one fob was only 50 so I want to try and do something myself.
I’ve litterly just got back from timpson and got this cut. He didn’t charge me anything for it because if it breaks off in the ignition I can sue.
Oh and my bloody screw has rounded on the first twist with the button pushed in!
But my question is… have you had any problems with the key in the ignition or door ?
