Clinton Pike says:

Wiper motor is held in by pop rivets which need to be drilled out to remove the motor an 8mm drill bit will remove the head of the rivet and allow the motor to be removed from the rubber mountings

Galin Simeonov says:

I'm sure they are rivits, I've already drilled them with 5,5mm (or5mm, not sure, long ago) drill and replaced with 6x20mm bolts, 6mm nuts and washers.
The problem can be caused by the rust or flushing fluid mixed with grease inside the rear whiper movement mechanism. It covers two contacts which "tells" the BSI (or COM, I'm not sure) the position of the whipper and it can start/ stop whenever it wants. The solution is full disassembly, cleaning, greasing, stirring and assembling.
Other problem can be the salt and dirt between the axis of the wiper, o-ring and plastic shell of the moving mechanism. The wiper stacks and can't move. The solution is full disassembly, cleaning, change the o-ring if necessary, greasing, stirring and assembling.

Nick the car guy says:

I want to say they look like rivits so you want to drill out the three rivits
