There ought to be a law against this.. There is no way that a child would
be able to make that clear determination there is so much confusion going
on in adolescence.. really until the person is about 22.. I absolutely
agree with what you said that there are very few genuine cases where the
person seems to be in the wrong body as the expression goes however it is
also very true that the majority of the cases are due to some disturbance
that has occurred such as a sexual assault or some other traumatic
experience.. It is most disturbing that the parents would allow this.. And
just as disturbing that a doctor would proceed with this course of action
at such a tender age..
At the age of 9 I knew I wanted to be a boy & be with a pretty girl !
