hey man, im currently building a 350 rocket for my 87 olds. i have two types of intake gaskets. unsure of which route to go. valley pan setup or just plain intake gaskets? both are metal gaskets by felpro. ive heard the valley pan isnt really necessary. any suggestions would be appreciated.

went silicone they still leaked.. had to do it again.. i used the rubber end seals coated them lightly with Ultra Gray and gooped the corners worked like a charm

hurst1979olds says:

leaking lifter valley end seals??? Did you use silicone and not the rubber piece? Silicone on its own is definetaly the way to go.

beeterolds says:

hey bud.. im using.. nothing 🙂 i coulda cut up the old one just to keep the oil off the bottom of the intake but.. meh..
