There is a right way and a wrong way to changing head gaskets.If you don’t have time to do it right the 1st time, your probably not going to have time to do it a 2nd time.

Doesnt the olds 307 head bolts go into the water jacket
Hi Shaw, very informative. I understand that all mechanics charge different rates, but I'm curious about how much I can expect to pay for a Olds 307 rebuild? I bought my 1984 Olds 98 Regency Brougham from the original owner 31 years ago with 56,000 miles on it. Now it has 263,000. It's in decent shape for all the miles……..
