+zsaz1029 You may want to check the fuses first to see if any of them have
blown out. If they are good, test the power going to the blower motor with
an ohm meter or a test light. If there’s not power going to the blower
motor, then test the switch that turns it on to see if there’s power going
to and from it. Hope this helps you out. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

JKC says:

Hi, I have a 1999 Nissan Maxima and the fan is stuck on high. I suspect
that resistor is bad on the fan motor. Do you carry this part and if so how
much?

Bertram Andrews says:

Efficient way to install replace blower motor resistor.Good one.

1A Auto Parts says:

@hp11208 Yes the procedure would be the same.

1A Auto Parts says:

@hp11208 It should be the blower motor resistor that has gone bad. We have
them available of our website for your vehicle. Here’s a link to them.

vince olegario says:

plastic housing over the motor.should I try that or the switch?

1A Auto Parts says:

Thank for stopping by and checking us out. Have a great day.

1A Auto Parts says:

@douginri Some of these projects can be a little tricky. I’m glad we could
help out.

NotJordan23 says:

is there a video showing how to replace my 2001 Tundras heater motor???

Juliemn214 says:

It seems that removing the blower motor would make removing the resistor
easier? Thanks for the help!

scbene says:

my 98 Sunfire for the longest time only worked in positions 3 and 4. now
today it wont turn on at all, do you think it is still the resistor?

hp11208 says:

I HAVE A 2000 CHEVY CAVERLIER AND THE SWITCH THAT CONTROLS THE HEAT SETTING
FROM LOW TO HIGH IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY . IT ONLY WORKS ON HIGH SETTING

STRIKER520 says:

@1aauto I dont have a cavalier or sunfire I have a hyundai sonata and the
blower is not turning on I hear a click when I turn the knob so it sounds
like power is being sent to it but it dose not turn on would that be the
blower or the resistor I checked the fuse and that is ok.

1A Auto Parts says:

@bluesailor76 We currently do not have a video of this particular repair.
We’ll keep this in mind when doing any future repairs on this vehicle.

cjsin50 says:

thank you to solve my prb

Relic8 says:

LOL, would it not be simpler to remove the front seat from the vehicle
first? I mean, it’s only 4 nuts. That way you could lay flat on your back
without having to arch and squish yourself onto the front seat (just don’t
lay on the seat studs). Just a thought – great video though – i think this
is the problem i have! Will have to order the resistor.

vince olegario says:

I can hear my AC compressor turn on but the fan is not turning on for heat
or ac or anything.

1A Auto Parts says:

@dragonsage2008 Stop the leak then dry the interior out. You will still get
fogging as long as the carpet and stuff are damp. Once the weather warms up
leave the car with the windows open and even the doors open if you can to
let it dry out.

eibbes says:

on a 2000 do you have to remove the blower motor to get to the resistor?

1A Auto Parts says:

@marvelheadlights We currently do no carry this particular part for your
vehicle.

carlzuzart1 says:

Hey, great video, thanks for helping to get this fixed. I got speeds 1 & 2
working by replacing the resistor. I hate the nutcase who designed the
location of this unit in the Pontiac Sunfire GT 2001. I had to remove the
entire blower motor to get to the resistor and then that pesky resistor
screw. Breaking it out one piece at a time worked. I fixed the new resistor
in and kinda left that screws out. Checked to ensure there was no movement
of the new resistor before fixing the motor back.

Gustavo Velasquez says:

i need that for my 2006 tacoma do u have it? and how much? and also is it
too hard to change on my truck ?

1A Auto Parts says:

@usaknifenut LOL, yep, stretch first.

bluesailor76 says:

Is there a video that shows me how to replace my 2004 Avalanche A/C Blower
Motor Resistor?

TheSmorris92 says:

What if i dont know if i need to replace the resistor? Im a bit confused,
the fan blows just fine, it just starts making this weird noise later on
like a really loud humming…..i took out the blower wheel found it was
filthy with leaves thought that was the problem but it still continues. How
exactly do i know to replace so i wont be wasting money on buy multiple
parts i dont need. Please and thank you

williamjamesw says:

I had to assume that same position when I replaced the blower in my ’95
Sunfire, ended up with a massive headache. Ought to be fun doing it again
for the resistor.

ttny60 says:

On a 2000 Cavalier you should drop the fan blower thats directly in the
way.Just 3 screws and it drops down and makes it possible to get to the
second screw on the resistor, otherwise its almost impossible to get at the
screw. Thanks for the post.

1A Auto Parts says:

You could try it to see if it helps. 1aauto.com 888-844-3393

zsaz1029 says:

So my resistor went out (I lost bottom two fan settings) but never got it
replaced. Some time has passed and now no settings work, including high.
Winter is coming. I finally replaced the resistor (what a pain!) and the
old one was indeed looking very bad. However, the blower fan still doesn’t
seem to be working. Do I likely need to replace the motor now? Or a relay
or something?

1A Auto Parts says:

@eibbes You should be able to just remove the blower motor resistor.
