I cannot tell you how much money you have saved me and built my confidence when it comes to working on cars. I honestly used to just have my car serviced and I always got ripped off. Your videos and the great detail you put has helped me work on my own car. Your enthusiasm makes it really fun to work on and not a hassle when I have to maintain my vehicles. From your videos, I have been able to easily work on my Mazda RX8, Ford Explorer, and Jeep Compass. No longer will I have to spend thousands of dollars on mechanics when it will typically cost me less than 200 hundred and I learn something new. Thank you, Chris.

Incredible! I've been working on cars most of my adult life and always dropped my driveshafts off at the local driveshaft shop for quick u-joint swaps. Now, after you showed how dead stone easy it is, there's now way I'd let them do it anymore! Thanks Chris!

CanAmRydr says:

Damnit Chris, I cringed so bad when I saw you using that file. You are never supposed to go back and fourth on metal because it will wear out that file way too fast. You always only go forward, lift off the part, come back and repeat.

What about staked in universal joints? Who the heck wants to spend $500 on a new driveshaft? Am I right!?

Really one of the best channels on YouTube! It's amazing what you can do with ChrisFix vids and a service manual. One pointer that really helped me press my rusty joints out was to periodically tap the ears of the yoke with a hammer, which helped free up any binding. If you're turning the press and it suddenly takes much more effort, that's likely the issue.

i watched lot of your video and become AUTO MECHANIC if i have money i could open AUTO REPAIR SHOP . Thank you chrisfix love you…..

Daniel Scalf says:

Quick question…what if my rear U-joint snapped, forcing the truck to kick out the drive shaft. Since it's already out, should there a concern for the way the new one lines up? Getting a new drive shaft, yoke and joints. Drive shaft hot the pavement hard a few times before it finally gave out, so I don't trust that it isn't warped or out of balance. Thanks in advance.

Nexus of ice says:

This truck must be almost a whole new vehicle by now with the amount of work and parts that he has put into it.
