Thanks for the vid.

Chris T. says:

My coil pack is a c925. The resistance of this particular pack for the
primary pins is .3 to .9, upon testing the primary with a multimeter it
read pin #1 was 2.4, pin #2 was about the same but pin #3 was about 1.8.
I’m wondering with those numbers being higher than the they should be does
that mean that the pack is actually bad? Or does it mean that the pack is
good? Should those readings be that high?

thnx for the helpful info

Stewart Lindberg says:

Thank you it didn’t help on my 3.4 chevy but im on the right path now. I
hope????

I do like the video “except” for when he hid the methiod of the second
check with his hands in front of the way he was checking it. I mean I can
not see where he is putting the probes.

carolyn kelsey says:

Thank you for the video. my freestar had a misfire with flashing engine
light. following your video i found my coil pack was bad.

robcas631 says:

Can you test the ignition coil pack in place or should it be removed? BTW
TY for creating this post.

GThoughTz1 says:

I have a rough idle when my car is at red light. And it misfires after I
hot start the car after I come out of the store. I did change my spark
plugs and wires for this problem but I still have the same problem. Could
it be my ignition coil or could it be a bad muffler that can make my car
not breath right? Also I have no code errors either.

worksmagic89 says:

next time can you plz be more specific about the name of the car you doing
the coil ppacks for plz cause everybody dont have a ford mustang

Wishbone799 says:

This video confirmed my bad coil! Very Useful.

JT Quick says:

When removing mine, There was 4 wires. 1 Red at top and 3 yellow. The power
is at top of connector in video and not at bottom. Other than that a great
video. Also at 200 ohms results were higher than yours. .5 or higher. No
misfire codes but a rough idle. Still looking.

gloria Ramirez says:

Short and sweet.Thanks

Ricardo Rodriguez says:

were do you get the spc for coil.

Kurtist justice says:

Mines reading 1.6 1.6 1.1 Checking from pin read all the same from top

Connor Norris says:

no check engine lights or anything at all

Crash2759 says:

thank you for making this video! helps alot to get straight foward advice
and not a ton of BS..

Wayne Rigley says:

Chris , no problem we teach we learn we save ! Good for you

Kevin Harwood says:

Should the reading be the same for any ignition coil or will a different
coil have different numbers?

Mohammad Wassef Tammam says:

i have 2006 xlt explorer , i need to know , what would be the readings on a
new coil , i mean , you got 1.6 , 1.5 & 0.08 on the last pin , the last pin
should give a similar reading to the other two pins , And the all of banks
should read the same , in other words , figures should be the same on all
three banks . & all three bins , what would be the right figures for the
last bank & the last pin

Brundon says:

i should note that i am having miss under load as well as slight backfire

bosshoggett says:

So which Cylinders does the 3rd pack effect?

igotaharo says:

thank you, im workin on a v6 mustang with stutter problems. read .6 ohms on
the last bank

Singha Biru says:

So if you don’t have a multi-meter, can you hit it with a hammer and see if
it makes a difference? Lol

D3GRASSi says:

Totally this checking is useless.get same reading like on video then next
day I bought new coils(checking on internet for 2 days find out coils
should be problem) and fixed my Taurus(rough idle and misfire p0301)

Chris Johnston says:

Thank you so much for posting this tip. I tried it on my 2000 Ford Focus
and found that I needed to replace my Coil Pack (Ignition Coil). This saved
me a bunch of money in diagnostic tests and labour that a mechanic would
have charged me as I was able to check it and replace it myself. .

Laurynas Tamosiunas says:

eashed enginr. something went wrong 3 rd cylinder is misfireing changed

becausr whrnni unplug the 3rd cylinder wire from the pack it doesnt mack
