thanks for the info yoshi,but here in europe there’s no yunkyards with chevy caprice………..i’ll see how i do it!
Take it from me (incase someone on here tells you different) you can’t repair the cable. A piece of string lasts a month, then breaks. light gauge wire isn’t flexible enough. Do what I do. Next time you are anywhere near a junk yard take as many indicators as you can. They are a unit by the way that simply bolts to the bottom of the cluster with 8mm bolts, and no the entire cluster doesn’t have to be removed but it is easier to remove the indicator if the cluster is half way out of the housing.
hi,yoshi……my 1988 caprice has broken the gear indicator of the gauge cluster…….a few years ago the cable of the indicator broke……do you know how i can repair it? have i to disassemble the gauge cluster? thanks.
