My dad pulled the 394 out of the 64 Olds Super 88 when I was in 9th grade. A piston oil ring had gone bad. He rebuilt the engine, dropped it back in, and I was there helping and to learn. It was a wonderful opportunity for me and learning experience. The rocker arm assembly you just worked on all came back to me.
What are the specs and the model of that old surfacing machine? Great video!
Enjoy the cid
What stone do you'll use in the gringer?
So glad I found this video, I may need a little with a '59 394 in my Super 88.
Great video!
love your vids keep up the good work.
I am impressed that you have what appears to be a dedicated machine to grind those rockers to the correct radius. Well, nothing that you do really surprises me anymore John. You are a man with many hats! LoL Ther 394 was made from '59 to '64, I believe. A friend of mine had a Super 88 315hp in an Olds station wagon and it was really hot.
