In this video series I will disassemble a 1972 Oldsmobile 350. I am going to try and record every step, mistake, and repair along the way. My plan is to make this a mild performance engine that is reliable. Enjoy part 1 of the disassembly.

Soo, how did they lower the compression on the 72 350 versus the earlier 1970 350 engines? By using dished pistons, or a larger cylinder head cc?

I am getting ready to disassemble my 71 olds 350 engine…what cam shaft bearing tool do you recommend/use?

When re installing the oil fill tube and oil dip stick tube is a snug fit essential? My 69' 350#555 is having the problem where both are loose; Suggestions? New parts or rtv?
