I been working on a 1971 olds 455, I got my engine completely assembed. But I can't remember if I set my timing marks on the compression stroke or on the non compression stroke. I know I had the number one cylinder at top dead center. I'm having some problems starting the engine.
Great video, however I noticed it didn't take any whoopie pies to install that timing chain. I've had experience with timing belts, although different than chains, it usually takes one huge WHOOPIE PIE to get that sucker on there.
i am installing a cam in a 1972 olds 455 and i put the timing marks crank gear at 12 o'clock and the cam at 6 o'clock and the pointer in dist. pointing at the # 1 plug in the dist i need to know this correct . some of the video said this is wrong(youtube)
