My grandfather restored a 1924 model T. Maybe it was '25. I remember riding it through Long Beach, CA with him. At his funeral about 18 years ago a bunch of his buddies from the model T club drove their cars to the cemetery. It is a wonderful memory.

"Literally a rope" I know what you mean, I worked on a tractor from the 30's that someone literally used strips of leather for crank bearings !
