Peter Cabrera says:

Did you ever make the video showing how disassemble it?

max says:

hi, the digits on my nissan 06 altima odometer are half missing. could it
be a LCD display problem or a wiring issue? thanks…

QUICKLIST129 says:

@Johnnysshop thanks

Johnnysshop says:

@youchooseaname1 Hmm.. Not sure. I just had the OEM ones. I’ll see if I can
find the video.

theboss4you says:

thanks. I have another question. where does the airbag control module
located on the altima 06? My steering wheel airbag deployed and I’ve
already replaced but I still need to reset the srs module and I don’t know
where’s located. thanks a lot and looking forward to hear from you.

Johnnysshop says:

Wow that’s odd. I would take the cluster out as shown here and see if you
can take the front shielding off. Should just snap back on.

Johnnysshop says:

@aramirez6964 Wish I could be I don’t have the car anymore 🙁

CleanDrift says:

did you ever make a video of taking apart the bezel?

max says:

thanks a lot for the quick response…even the mechanic thinks the
same….will get it replaced soon…. thanks again…

Johnnysshop says:

@LvinC Pretty sure they are the same. I looked at that, I don’t think you
can change it. I’m sure someone out there is more clever than I and figured
it out though.

youchooseaname1 says:

@Johnnysshop Thanks, I’d like to see the video if you can find it.

Johnnysshop says:

@cagonesss From what I can tell it’s not hard, just time consuming. 1200
doesn’t surprise me for all the mounts. You will need to unbolt the motor
and support it with jacks/jackstand.

Johnnysshop says:

@stveide1 LOL.. Yeah, just covering my butt. You never know!

david m says:

@Johnnysshop got a question,is it hard to replace the motor mounts on a 05
altima 4 cyl? why would the dealer wanna charge 1200 just to replace motor
mounts?is it hard or are they easy to replace?

aakash88 says:

Hello! Please assist me. I have this beautiful nissan altima 2005, and my
speedometer needle just fell off. Everything else is working fine. How can
I replace the needle in the most efficient way? Thanks!

Banthos says:

Hey I have a question for you. What bulbs do you use to light up the
speedometer? And its there only one? I think its the 194 but idk what base,
type, and overall length. Thank you so much for anyones help!

KrisLucky07 says:

Thanks anyways

youchooseaname1 says:

where can i find the video were you take apart the instrument cluster, and
do you think it’s possible to change the light bulbs so that you get a
different color backlight (such as Blue) then the Amber that it normally
has?

Johnnysshop says:

@QUICKLIST129 I’ve never done it. I believe you pop off the panels on both
sides of the head unit and there are 4 bolts holding the deck in..

Johnnysshop says:

It depends on the vehicle really. On most it’s not really plug and play. It
will work but will need programmed with the correct mileage and so on.
Typically a dealer will get a reading from the ECU and program the new
cluster to match the ECU.

Johnnysshop says:

Hmm.. Not sure. If I had one, I’d let ya know!

Johnnysshop says:

Not sure actually. Good question. I think it’s near the Tranny control
module but I haven’t looked. The tranny control module should be to the
left of the ECU

Johnnysshop says:

Yes, the ECU does. The tranny ecm may have some info as well. It would be
nice if the dealers actually check that info but they don’t. At least
around here.

Johnnysshop says:

I would say LCD issue.

aakash88 says:

Thank you! Is it possible to remove the front shielding without removing
the instrument cluster?

theboss4you says:

how can I know if the mileage on my altima 06 cluster hasn’t been changed?
does the ECU keep the mileage record even if they changed the cluster?
thanks.

Shahrukh Iqbal says:

how many bulbs do u need to change all the lights in the instrument panel?

iRobYourLunch says:

Also, any**

LvinC says:

@Johnnysshop just another quick question. i have a 06 model and im not sure
if they are the same in the cluster bulbs. but the only bulb thats able to
come out its the high beams bulb, i ended up taking the needles out and
thought the bulbs where under the gauge face but all i seen was little
white small LED attached to the green face plate, and i think its not
possible to change the LED color bulbs RIGHT>?? or is there a way to change
it , I am looking to customize the cluster.!!

QUICKLIST129 says:
