I just wish they designed these vehicles better
My grandfather had a Chevy Citation, a car that was considered 'not reliable' and poorly made. He took good care of it and said he never had any problems with it. I am guessing, if you buy a new Nissan and you go easy on it driving, and take care of it, it will probably not be a problem. But that's probably less than 10% of the population that actually does that.
My prediction is total rebuild by 75K miles.
Nissan is a brave car company.

I doubt that Nissan Dealership will honer that warranty if it needs serious repairs.
Isn't the new Rogue the ones that have the crash saftey recall?
The problem with life time warranty engine claims is that the owner has to pay the mechanic to disassemble the engine to diagnose the problem. The company won't honor the mechanics opinion without proof of failure. That is the catch.
In Australia it's called the X-Trail (spoken/pronounced as "Cross Trail")
