i always wondered why do people do this? what is the point of a bed like
this? it’s smaller than the original truck bed? can anyone tell me why some
people prefer flatbeds and stake sides as opposed to a regular bed with
more space?
Hey highvan10 I’m looking at doing the exact same project in a week, on my
’94 nissan hardbody ext. cab. Any chance I could pick your brain on a few
things? Mainly I needed to know how you mounted the 4×4’s to the frame, and
how you mounted the taillights. Any other random tips would be great if you
don’t mind sharing. Thanks! Looks great :)
I love Ruby !!…What a cool friend !!
What are the sizes of wood you used looks great my 86 could really use a
nice bed like that
Not a problem and good luck, post a pic when you get it done !
I just used the regular treated boards from lowes, it’s been a few years
now and it looks just like it did the day i did it. It’s seen mud, rain and
snow and still looks nice 😉
Thanks so much – really helpful – what kind of wood would you use for full
time exposure to weather Thanks Dean equusdean@gmail.com
Well thank you so much I now have.my weekend project this weekend and
at.low cost thank you so much and great work!
The two bottom supports are treated 4×4 and for the bed i used 9 treated
2x10x10s. All in all it turned out great and it cost less then $100
