Hey guys excellent video…Quick question do you have any idea where to get
the white clip that the headlamp attaches to on the bottom. My clip broke
and the bottom of the headlamp is just flapping around. It is the white
clip at 3:21, the one attached to front bumper. Nothing in the service
manual, no parts online. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1A Auto Parts says:

On the drivers side you may need to remove the battery to be able to reach
behind the light.

@Billd0 We haven’t had one in the shop yet that we needed to repair. When
we do we’ll do a video on it.

Thank you for uploading this video! It really helped me fix my burnt out
headlight and helped me save time. I’ll be using you guys again during the
next repair.

How would this compare to a infiniti I30 because I’m having troubles?

ExpensiveGarbage says:

This guy’s video helped me change my headlight assembly for aftermarket on
my honda accord and also got me started with a body kit install by showing
how to get the factory one off. Now I’m about to buy a cash project 2002
maxima before the week is out and already this guy’s video is showing me
how to upgrade my headlight assembly. Thanks so much for such an unselfish
act as uploading this videos are.

SuperDv8 says:

How do you go about changing out the fog lights on a 2007 Nissan Maxima?

1A Auto Parts says:

@pianoboy1952 the process may be different, due to the different mounting
point that the headlights may have.

Awesome step-by-step training you provided. I watch the video one day and
the next day successfully installed my Maxima 2001 headlights. Thanks for
taking your valuable time and talent to share with the world.

Roy G says:

If the lens is oxidized cant you clean that off from the outside without
replacing with new?

1A Auto Parts says:

You may be able to reach your hand behind the headlight and remove the buld
that way.

Jordon Winheim says:

if im looking to just replace the bulb in the headlight, how would i go
about doing that?

1A Auto Parts says:

@MrsThaxton86 Here’s a link to the 2001 Nissan Maxima Headlights that we
carry for your vehicle on our website.

R3cip301 says:

is the process the same for the 01′ sentra?

1A Auto Parts says:

@roymg What happens is that the plastic itself degrades over time. When you
buff out the headlight lens it only works temporarily. After about 6 months
the cloudiness usually will return. The only way to really fix them is to
just replace the headlight.

1A Auto Parts says:

The thing is we sell a lot of glass headlights that get the haze over them
as well just like the plastic ones. Unfortunately nothing lasts forever and
replacing them with a quality part for a decent price, normally helps
retain the value of a vehicle.

1A Auto Parts says:

@TX97SR20DET Not sure what that would be called. A retainer maybe. Probably
a junk yard or Nissan themselves.

Billd0 says:

how much harder/easier would it be to remove the headlights on the 97-99
maximas?

ricky G says:

1aauto for 2002 and 2003 bumber has to be removed

TREY CARVALHO says:

On a 2000 Maxima like here in the vid I need the plastic piece that is
under neath the headlights. Example at 1:55 The first clip that he
mentions. the one underneath the headlight. The white piece there at 3:21 a
reply would be nice and a part number, ohone number, price would be even
better 🙂

1A Auto Parts says:

We currently do not have an auto repair video on that particular year
headlight. There should be two bolts on the top of the lens that hold it in
place.

BrockL191 says:

trying this on my 02 max is proving difficult. part of headlight towards
grille comes up very easy but the other side is stuck. ive pulled very hard
and i cannot get it to budge. im trying to replace the fog light and i
watched your other vid. removing the headlight is the way to go but i cant
get the dam thing out…any help would be appreciated
