Hey man I have a 2005 xterra that I bought last year.Previous owner had xeon lights installed. My drivers side head light was flickering and went out yesterday.I went to my local lordco and they sold me a bulb, with a blue conector box, nd 3 other cables. I installed the bulb into the head light cover, fastned the white round clamp, then attactched 2 snap on wires. I turned the light on, and it worked. However I have one cable from the new one I bought that I dont know where it goes? no highbeem

hollywoodstylin says:

All aftermarket HIDs are illegal. If your vehicle did not come with HIDs from the factory, then they are illegal. It’s up to the cops in your area whether or not they enforce that law or not (just like how some states require you to have a front license plate). If you want to be inconspicuous, you can opt for doing a retrofit into your headlights. Next time you purchase an accessory for your car, check to make sure that it’s legal rather than trying to fit in with the “in” crowd.

XenonSupply says:

This is most likely because of the ballast. If not enough or tooo much power is being used by an innefficient or low quality ballast it can throw warning lights on your dash. The only way to fix this iissue is to get different ballasts. You can email us at Help(at)XenonSupply(dot)com for info on ballasts that will not cause this issue.

I belive the best way is to remove the bumper for this installation. Ther are instructional guides on how to remove the bumper online. Email us for a link to those guides. Help(at)XenonSupply(dot)com

Hey Phil I wish you would explain how to install HID kits to a 2006 Nissan Altima. My stock halogens just died and I want to get HID’s installed but I want to do it myself. There aren’t any videos for the Altima installation…everywhere else says I have to take apart the bumper and nonsense is there an easier way because I don’t know much of anything about cars?

XenonSupply says:

This may be dependent on the year model of your Xterra or the type of HID kit you purchased. HID’s are as illegal as the catless exhaust you might install on your vehicle, or the aftermarket midpipe you install that violates your emissions codes. Also, generally if you install a 4300K bulb color or at the most 6000K bulb color, you will not have issues.

if you have additional questions or concerns, please email us

thanks,

XenonSupply says:

the Bulb uses an electromagnet to change the light angle for low beam and high beam. This means there are 2 settings to replicate having 2 physical bulbs. Also, the Nissan Xterra has easily accessible adjustment screws for the Headlight angle to avoid excessive glare and adjust accordingly. Let us know if you have additional questions at Help(at)XenonSupply(dot)com

thanks

XenonSupply says:

The 6000K is more white than the video quality can show off(something with white balance and low ambient lighting that messes it up). the 4300K is the whitest light we have and if you are at all concerned, id go for the 4300K.
