The studs for the brackets aren't long enough to start to thread the nut in with the washer and the locking washer

thanks man, this showed me it'd be foolish to pay the dealership $400+ to do this when I can order the step boards for less then $150 and do it myself!

Does it have a piece of tape near the end caps? I seen someone complained about that and wondered if it's only on the inside or both sides.

how come you only installed two brackets instead of three ?
