This is 2004 to 2006 Quest LCD replacement with our Tanin Auto Electronix LCD here. So this is the common problem you won’t be able to see anything in there. T10 torx. Pop the front lens off. Needles you can move them clockwise, but you want them to go all the way down until they stop, mark this position where they are right now because that’s where you’re going to have to put them when you put them back on. Just twist them off. The same thing with the back snap it in half. Place the flathead and gently pry up, remove that assembly. This portion you see these two tabs here pop straight out of here. Same thing just gently pop this the black tabs this falls off. You can throw this away you don’t need it. Small flathead, gently pop this plastic very gently these break often. Pop the LCD up pull it out of the board. To install there is film on this side make sure to peel that off when you install it. Pop it under the tabs under the left if you’re right-handed. If you’re left-handed it might be easier to pop it in the tabs on the right and then pop it in over here. You’re going to have to pop the plastic white plastic back up over the LCD glass. Just on this side and then grasp the plastic here the hard plastic and gently push it in equally. This is the most important part you don’t want to bend this ribbon or flatten it. It needs to have a loop otherwise it might not work or break the trace inside the ribbon so start this in there are two tabs on the left side, start the board in these tabs and then push this plastic under the gauge face just like that and then snap it into these tabs and you’re done. Test it just to make sure and good to go. Obviously, put it back together opposite of removal and disassembly.

Hey I have a question how do you put the needles back on I’m really strugling

Jaie B. says:

Hypothetical question… What would the solution be if that white/beige easily breakable plastic were to break?

Jaie B. says:

Watch out when removing the black cover (the one that can be thrown away), the beige plastic can break easily at this step as well
