Welcome, so happy that my video helped but you did all the work. Good job man. Yes, your thinking makes sense, buy new tools to do the job. Besides, if family or friend needs their starter replaced, you can do it and get paid back for the tools you bought. Thank you for subscribing. Have a nice day.

Bobby Light says:

You saved my life man!! It’s always better to put money into buying new tools rather than paying someone else to do the job. Subscribed

You fixed my starter, man! This video was just what I needed!

88bmyvegas says:

no space to even get to the starter if you do it under the car.

Mark Joseph says:

would it be easier to get under the car and do it or is the transmission blocking it?

Rick Mason says:

I want to thank you as well. It gave me an idea how much effort and which tools would be needed. I had someone willing to do the job for $80. Based on this, I paid the cash. But, now I know if I had some more time and the right tools I can do it.

I’m having trouble removing the harness above where you unplug the ground harness connection on the starter and the same with the black harness that let’s you get to the back mount bolt of the starter. Any tips to remove them as easy as the video ?

88bmyvegas says:

Just replaced my starter on my 2001 Maxima. I would not have attempted it without watching this video. The electrical harnesses held me up until I figured out how they disconnected. (Push the lever in on the green insert and then push the green insert down, the harness can then be pulled off,) I also pulled the air intake from the plastic housing rather than the metal side.
Thanks. – new subscriber.
