Guys, I got ’98 model and it didnt come off like his. Mine had the lower
piece attatched to it because you unscrew it once you take it off. So it
might be harder to take out with the lower piece still attached to it but
you take it off like that anyways just be very carefull and give it a good
hard tug.

Andy Torgesen says:

@Kyle Huff yea I had to get the additional mounting kit to replace the
factory radio. I got it at Best Buy

Andy Torgesen says:

@youalldoit your welcome man

Zain Abdi says:

I took everything out, but I couldn’t get my stereo out. Can you make a
video on how to replace the radio in a Nissan Altima with an aftermarket
radio? Thanks… 🙂

Shallah Dozier says:

question: i just got a kenwood kdc 152 for this car that im installing in
the morning. Do I remove the screws by the AC to get the radio out?

Austin Flygare says:

So I was trying to instal my stereo and I got all the screws out except for
the one on the drivers side near the bottom. It will not come out, I’ve
tried WD40, going to an auto parts store, screw extractor, vise grips for
the head, everything and it still will not come out. What can I do to get
this out because it’s the only thing holding the trim piece in place and
I’m so sick of trying and getting nowhere

Andy Torgesen says:

@zabdi786 There should be screws holding your radio in. If u take those out
with a hard yank it should come out. I got a new car so I can’t take
another vid sorry

Andy Torgesen says:

@duke53y no I don’t because that’s not the body style I had. I imagine it
would be the same process tho. Take off the door panel which should be one
big piece and you will have access to the speaker

TheGebmeister says:

Good information. You need a power driver. You turn that screwdriver sooooo
slow for a guru. lol.

gorillabiceps11 says:

thus really was a very helpful video. i have a 2001 nissan altima gxe. and
it looks just like the inside of yours, thanks for the help bro

Cohen Richardson says:

thanks very helpful

Andy Torgesen says:

You shouldn’t need to remove any screws on the actual HVAC unit just the
four screws holding in your stereo now and the old one should come right
out. If not then you can try removing the screws to the HVAC unit but like
I said I don’t believe it will be necessary.

EDtotheGRR says:

hey man thank, very helpful, hey so where did you get the bracket to hold
aftermarket stereo? i need one

lonlyantsy says:

what installation kit did you use?

Kyle Huff says:

nice video man did you have to install a new mounting kit for the
aftermarket radio?

Nathan Reinsma says:

wtf i have a 97 altima and the only thing keeping me from putting my new
stereo in is this retarded cigarette lighter. fml. mine isn’t a plug.

Frederick Henderson says:

Awesome video!! Exactly what I needed. Thanks! I just bought a 98 Altima
for $1100 with 132k miles on so Its a few small things I need to fix. If
you know of any cheap places I can go to upgrade my car please let me know.

ZxXxTimeBombxXxZ says:

thanks this helped a lot

ds7202 says:

If you’re going to work on electronics, shouldn’t you disconnect your
battery? Also, that’s not the air conditioning unit. that’s the air
conditioning CONTROL unit.

alxluthor says:

thanks , very helpful

John Manly says:

Thanks so much!

DerTarchinPro says:

My ashtray keeps getting stuck and prevents me from pulling out the trim
fully. 🙁

Andy Torgesen says:

@wacoodude The dash conversion kit was by scoche or something like that. I
don’t believe 6.5 is the right size for the front. The ones I put in my
front door were 5.5

David White says:

You rock. Thanks for making this video.

Austin Thomas says:

Hey man I installed my headunit and all was working well however, there is
a finger sized gap in between the bottom of my dash kit to right above the
cigeratte lighter. Any suggestions? Or do you remember what dash kit you
used?

duke53y says:
