I was able to do this without removing glove box…..I saw other videos where others have sprayed some Lysol in there and in vents to kill germs, I did this car smells GREAT!…….

T. Paul Mason says:

BRILLIANT!!! Who knew it was that easy!!! The owner’s manual just tells you to take it to the dealership–what a ripoff!!!

It does use a paper filter but I don’t know where you would purchase it in Australia.

Belinda Kelly says:

Where can I buy the filter in Brisbane, Australia? My local Super Cheap Auto shop doesn’t supply the filter but said a foam filter from rubber shops was all I needed. Yet looking at the filter in that video it looks more like a paper type filter. Any suggestions?

filterheads says:

You’re welcome! We’re glad you could change it yourself!

matteo salmoni says:

Thank you !!!! I saved a lot of money by changing it myself after watching this video…It only costs me 17 bucks. The dealership wanted me to pay 99 dollars which is a rip off…Once again thank you.

filterheads says:

Thanks for the info!

MckkYL6 says:

this is not 100% accurate for HK version. there is a secure horizontal bar to be removed first to remove the filter.

I’m glad we helped you save some money!

zzhamstring says:

Next time i’ll see if i can come by an STP one here in Canada. $50 for an incabin air filter-outragious.A stock air filter at the dealer cost $30. I tried a K& N and a Fram and found the stock works best.

J. Her says:

I just went to autozone today, November 11/11/11, and bought an STP for $15.

zzhamstring says:

One thing to keep in mind if your working on 2007 hatchback model: is be aware of the housing clips the filter attached in place with. I was unable to see the top clip part and broke it off, so I suggest using extreme care when trying to get the old one out.

zzhamstring says:

Thanks for providing this well put together video.

I paid $50 for a new filter at the Nissan dealership today as of Nov 3,2011.

What does Filterhead charge?

Zu Mi says:

Thank you so much for putting this video together. It was very descriptive. The close up shots and narration were especially helpful. Again, thank you!

Jose Garcia says:

Thanks!

Melissa Tait says:

Hey this is great! I wish I’d seen this before I paid my (still awesome) mechanic $30 to change it. At least it wasn’t $80!

Can I get filterheads in Canada? Or is there somewhere else youd’ suggest, since i’d rather not shell out for shipping?
