I have a 2006 frontier and I have seen all your videos great tips. I’m just
kind of bummed out about the antifreeze trani issue. Nissan corp are being
a bunch off asses about

caveman joe says:

Maintenance, easier to change coolant from time to time than changing a
radiator.

caveman joe says:

Glad everything worked out for you, that’s why I do these.

azwildcats69 says:

Thanks, I just couldn’t find the drain. very helpfull.

Luke Sullivan says:

Just curious, why would you do a coolant flush/replace if your temp gauge
isn’t acting up?

pcfxer says:

AMSOIL. Solid choice good sir.

Javier Puentes says:

How much do you need to full the radiator? Love the videos dude, congrats

Tony Garza says:

went to dealership and bought a gallon of antifreeze for 06 nissan
frontier. Dealership charges about 120 for changing antfireeze while tune
and lube charege 34.99. guess who I went with? I used nissan antif though.
thanks anyway

caveman joe says:

It does, I didn’t go that far. I’ll just change the coolant more often to
flush it out.

caveman joe says:

Sorry about those issues, fortunately I bought the manual transmission, so
I don’t have to deal with the automatic transmission fluid/coolant
contamination issues.

caveman joe says:

I’ve been using it since 2001, haven’t had any problems.

James Rock says:

dealership will rip you off… if you can DIY that would be great i did
myself

Tony Garza says:

Did you know that some nissan frontiers, exterras, or pathfinders might
have defective radiators around the 05 thru 08 models, and might need
changing out? Have you heard anything like that and what is your reaction
to that? I’m thinking about changing it out but still asking different
people for thier input. Thanks for the video! !

caveman joe says:

I bought two gallons of coolant and two gallons of distilled water to be on
the safe side, but one of each makes two gallons of 50/50. Cooling system
initial fill says almost eleven quarts, but you’ll never get that much by
draining the radiator alone.

caveman joe says:

Yes, I’ve only heard of the major problem being with those models with the
automatic transmissions and the atf and coolant mixing, fortunately I have
the model with the six speed manual, so this was never an issue for me. If
I did have the automatic transmission I would get everything checked out to
make sure the two fluids were not mixing before wasting money on this
procedure.

James Rock says:

does your nissan frontier 2007 has a drain plug in engine block? Because i
have 2001 and according to the haynes book i need to take it out 2 plugs in
the engine block each side to drain coolant inside the engine…

caveman joe says:

I found it after looking it up in a chilton manual, just glad I didn’t have
to take off the skid plate to get to it.
