Thanks for posting!! Was getting my oil changed at Jiffy Lube and was
offered it changed for 39.00. I passed and figured I’d do it myself but
after seeing how buried it is I will go back and spend the money. My time
is worth more. The tab on mine will probably break as well, I’ll get a
hammer and smash the dash to get to it and end up spending 900.00 to
replace my dash. I’ll go with the 39.00.

LOL at the tab that ripped

Amazing video! Thanks for taking the time and putting this together. Why
they (Nissan) would place the filter in such an awkward place (waaaaay back
there) is beyond me. Nonetheless, great instructions and thanks for your
help!

Bo Tek says:

Your right it seems like they made it difficult so you would have to bring
it in to the dealership.

The 02-06 generation Altimas were so much easier. I could literely remove
the filter in about 30 seconds. Same goes for the Sentra and Maxima models
from the early to mid 2000 models. Now Nissan tucks them away further in
the dash.

instead of taking the glove box out . simply take the side panel out and
the cabin filter will be easier to access.
