Not sure why you would want to remove your ECS system… you should fix
it…but if you do want to disable the system entirely just unplug the body
harness connectors to the factory ECS controll module located in the trunk
-> right rear access panel on the inside next to the stop/signal lights. go
see 3sx.com/faq/ecsmodule/index.asp for more detailed instructions.

Does diagnostics work even with struts disconnected? I can’t seem to get
mine going.

duke3k says:

The built-in diagnostic console error display capability is only available
on the renegadetechworks aftermarket ecs controller. The mitsu oem factory
controller can not do this. If you have a Techworks controller, the
diagnostics will work even if one or more of the struts is disconnected. I
have no record of you ever purchasing a controller – so I would imagine you
have a factory unit and so these instructions dont apply.

Kong Vang says:

I’m looking how to take that out. Can somebody help.

Love the version 2 Marcus! Can’t wait to play! Jeremy

Kinsley Lewis says:

I see, that makes sense, yes I have a factory controller. Seems like some
El Cheapo replaced the struts with regular ones, that’s why it’s not
working. Just keeps flashing sport.
