Hi Joey, I used Pioneer 6.5 speakers because they have been my favorite for
the price range. You can use any 6.5 speakers though that you want. Thanks
for your question.

GodRainFire says:

I am sorry I have not had time to reply, did you end up figuring it out? Or
do you still need to know. Thanks again for your comments and again I am
sorry I have not replied.

Sean Davis says:

Did you already replace yours?

bigoledonky says:

Hey mate i have a 2005 mitsubishi challenger which is the aussie version of
the montero, i can’t figure out how to remove the factory head unit from
its plastic “force field” and i just wanted to know how it was done and if
i needed any special tools for the job.. By the way, I found your video
most helpfull in replacing my door speakers, even for a car-audio noob like
me ,thanks!

GodRainFire says:

Yes they are all 6.5 speakers on the doors. Yes that is the factory bracket
that came with it, i just put screws through it to hold the speaker in
place. It worked very well. Sadly it got into a car accident like a 2 weeks
ago, and is totaled. lol

07Escalade88 says:

All good mate, yeah i figured it out, i felt stupid after finding out how
easy it was lol. Thanks anyway mate

Moe Khan says:

Yeah i did it up, thanks!

Bryan Estepa says:

Hey, could you show me how you connected the +/- wires to the speaker after
you cut off the little adaptor part? did you splice them and just use the
wires straight like that and tied them around the +/- leads on the new
speaker?

Joey Lasensky says:

What speakers did you buy? I have a 2002 Mitsubishi with blown out speakers
we are replacing.

Dewitt Arcon says:

Hey man! Itsthat a montero sport 99?, because I got one recently and I
would like to know de size of all the speakers, you know front, rear, dash,
I mean all the speakers in the car. Thank you.

Good video. I’m always amazed that people are willing to do the job with
one hand while they film. I usually need EXTRA hands just to do the job!
Watching someone else do it gives me more confidence! Thanks!! – Geno

GodRainFire says:

Is the 2005 mitsubishi challenger the same inside like was shown in my
video? If so I can tell you how I did it. If not, I would like to know the
exact molding is around the radio. I can still help you. 🙂

Shobi Khan says:

Hey, could you tell us how you removed the dash to install the CD player?
or if you have a video for it, could you post it? Really appreciate it.
Thanks

07Escalade88 says:

My challenger has the exact same interior as the one in your video
