I’m looking for a chip to replace my old one because the white/black dots appeared. On the back of the chip it has a bunch of numbers and letters. Are they the style number for the chip? I’m trying to find a new one that matches the old chip’s number. I’m having a hard time finding it. Help?

Sorry, it was black dots now looking more closely. Going to purchase the chip. Thanks for the response and help!!!
sinagog – That sounds good. I will check with one of our techs tomorrow on the black line problem, but I do know black dots and white dots are typically the DLP Chip. Simply click on the link in the description for this video to purchase the chip. Thanks and let us know if you need anything else!
Hi, I have the Samsung hl67a750a1fxza with white dot issue, but also have a black slash/dot issue on white backgrounds…I’m guessing its the same chip? Either way I am buying the chip from you tomorrow. Thanks for this. Samsung has offered little help but direct me to a $700 plus repair.
I am about to replace the chip in my Samsung. Would it be a good idea to put a little thermal grease between the heatsink and chip? It is critical in CPU installation and I just thought it may increase the lifespan of the chip. Thoughts?
@joe gillespie – The chip that is compatible with your TV is the 4719-001997 DLP Chip. If you go to our website, shopjimmy com and search 4719-001997 you will find the product page. We currently have these chips on back order, so the ship date is pushed to a further date. Thanks and please let us know if you need any other help! (877) 881-6492
i have a samasung 52″dlp tv hlt5076sx/xaa i have the white dots all over(severly damadged dlp chip from what your site info)…. i have read and viewed videos and tech talks, can you help me determine the proper part #? THANK YOU………………..
You are welcome, we are glad to help!
It should clear the up the white dots. The black screen is more of a concern. If the chip was that bad it could be due to a bad chip. But you may have more than one issue. Start with the chip and see if that solves everything. Thanks and please let us know if you need any other assistance. (877) 881-6492 (952) 881-6492

This was awesome!!! Thank you so much we ordered the chip off of Amazon, when we got the chip we realized the video on youtube was for a different style of tv AND it had very annoying music…we searched some more and found this video – super easy to follow!! When we finished the tv kept shutting off over and over…with a little more searching on the internet we found out we just needed to tape up the power switch – found the answer on youtube …Thank you so much! Saved us so much money
Nice!
I have the Samsung HL67A750A1FXZA and tried adjusting it using the screws but couldn’t seem to get it perfectly adjusted that way.
It was only off about an 1/8 of an inch on the left side and only noticeable when viewing the menu bar of the Mac I have connected to this TV. After messing with the screws for about 20 minutes I gave up and used wood shims which fixed it in under five minutes.
@Terri Za That’s great to hear! Good call on the shim, too! Just so you know, you can also adjust the display by adjusting certain screws on the DMD board(screws vary by brand and model). If you want some tips on that, check our our “DMD Boards & Formatter Boards Alignment” video that we recently posted!
Bought the chip through Amazon (paid $5 more) but I see it actually came from ShopJummy.
Video was very helpful in replacing the chip. Didn’t need anything more than a Phillips screw driver. Took me about an hour to do.
I have a Mac connected to the TV and the menu bar was always a bit higher on the left than on the right so after putting the light engine back in I used a wood shim to every so slightly wedge the opposite side of the board up and now it’s better than new.
@Firaydun Zarghami: Samsung HL-T6756W Model has 2 different versions. The Version Number can be found on the TV labels on the back and/or sides of the TV. Version PF01 takes a 4719-001997 DLP Chip, & Version PF02 takes a 4719-001969 DLP Chip. While the inside of your TV may look a little different from the one in this video, the steps will be very much the same for any Samsung DLP Chip replacement. Is this procedure same for Samsung DELP TV HL-T6756W? Thanks
The formatter/DMD board and DLP chip are not near any large caps so you don’t need to worry about discharging them.
Do I need to be concerned with discharging the capacitors? If so, do you recommend a good way to do that?
@Rtstrider : If the thermal pad is dried out or crumbling, it is a good idea to replace it. Thermal grease might work ok, but I think there is a gap between the heatsink and the chip in most models, so it may not be as efficient as a thermal pad.
So just to double check you do not recommend adding thermal grease to the chip before replacing the heatsink? Would adding Arctic Silver 5 void the warranty? I think this would be a good idea as it would help the heat transfer from the chip to the heatsink more efficiently
Thank you, this is very helpful!
Thanks for an awesome video!
