This set has common problems with coolant (oil) leaking from the area
around the bulbs onto the circuit boards below. That may be your issue.
Broken or bad solder joints on components mounted on the circuit boards may
also be a problem. The marker on the capacitors is no problem and common.
Look for bulges in the tops; that will indicate a bad cap. Look in my
description for a link to a forum where you can find additional
information. Thanks and good luck!

I recently aquired a Mitsubishi VS-60607 tv from a friend. turn it on, it
takes awhile to brighten up, went into settings maxed out brightness &
contrast. Now am experiencing lines and video issue. I don’t know anything
about this but am watching youtube on capacitors. The only capacitors that
look funny are on the brown board from the front panel on the left two caps
look like they have had someone use marker on them like your cap has on it
at 0:48 on the right on brown board.
