Mitsubishi WD720 Repair Part1

Mitsubishi WD720 DLP Video Projector had the status light flashing red/green with no response from the power button. After verifying the lamp timer was reset, the safety switch for the lamp cover was found to be missing. After replacing the switch, the evidence I kept finding of someone else being inside becomes apparent.

Thanks for video here. I have a WD620U that start up but after some minutes a warning sign " temperature" came up on the screen and after some second the projector turn off. After ten minutes it is possible to turn on the projector again and after some minutes the same fault happen. I have cleaned the projector for dust and the bulb is new and the old bulb has around 70 % more lifetime. Is it something more I can do. I think the fans are good. All fan blow in and the exhaust air are going out around the speaker. Is it some that know what that can be wrong?

Hi Frank, I just purchased a Mitsubishi WD2000 from a recycle center. It works great. The question I have is, do you reccomend I do a thoroughly cleaning of the fans and filter? And a bulb perhaps?

Add me to the group saying thank you! The lever fell off my switch and I had no idea the origin of this loose metal part until you showed that you were missing one – and the light went on in my mind!

Hi, this video https://youtu.be/3875s4AveZI shows the problem i have, everything starts (all 4 fans, light, color wheel) and seems to be OK. But at the moment when light starts coming through the lens then stops working and starts the cooling shut down mode. Then of course shuts down. What is wrong and need to be replaced or repaired? Thank you

I have one of this.. but I don't know what can I do because I replaced the old bulb by a new one, but this not receive electric signal from the projector. It's necessary to replace anything more from inside?
