Cool fix… why square off the old brushes? Isn’t the “form-fit” they have now better for conducting current than putting a flat surface on a curved surface?

The problem with today’s mechanic is they just want to replace and not repair..Sometimes it’s cheaper to replace but no where near as satisfying…I like fixing things…That’s why I took on this gig…Oh…the young mechanic at work said he’d never get involved with a carb or ignition points ‘cos they were too involved.!!…I just laughed…WTF.?
