FOLLOW UP- The fella did call me about a week later after running a drive cycle and said now that EVAP system works it did flag a code for a small leak. Not sure if he fixed it himself at that point or what but he did not come back to me to see the job through. He did mention when he was working on it initially that he had a few mishaps underneath with some hoses or something like that. Any how just thought you guys should know.

I recently replaced knock sensors and harness on a 2005 Chevy Silverado with a 5.3L and they don’t work. I got the parts on eBay and it was an Ac delco part with what appeared to be new original ac delco packaging…My question is can eBay and Amazon parts be junk even if they as in this case are Ac delco and not some aftermarket ??
Preach it now knot to buy junk parts. Get the real thing it will save you money and time. Don’t be a part’s changer?
The ebay/amazon counterfeit problem is getting even more insidious. The cloners are experts at making the fake parts, boxes, & packaging look like OEM. If they could only spend the same amount of effort in making the parts work like oem….

I've bought from 1A auto before, and it sounds real that it's crap. I've swapped out parts from them with brick and motor several times. I've learned my lesson.
Even Doorman, they may supply oem parts to auto manufacturers, but they also carry crap they will sell to you in a heartbeat!
ERIC! I'm from northern Canada, but will be coming thru upstate newyork in may, and will be staying about an hours drive north of your shop. I'll be in the area for about two weeks. Would it be inappropriate to come drop by the shop during business hours? Or should I give a heads up? I've got a 30 year old Acura that I'm sure you'd get a kick out of.
Mitsubishi never allowed on my place. If one of my family wants own one, they can work on it by themselves.

However, your skill at diagnostics is well above average! Keep up the great work, and keep the videos coming!
As a tech myself, I hate to see people spend money replacing a whole bunch of parts and then often finding out simply having it diagnosed would have saved them money and also the headache.
I simply don’t understand every video about evap system. Some day I will be smart enough.

Yeah it's funny I've watched every one of you guys videos and then I can't even check a O2 sensor to see if the heater circuit works I've watched so many videos unless I do it Hands-On I can't remember it I'll have to do it I got one here that's acting up my own farm truck but anyway I'll figure it out it runs why do I need to fix it LOL
Thank you for all your videos I've been watching them from when I found you and of course I watch Ivan's in Westworth watch West work and we don't I don't care about your angle of viewing and stuff and people that do well you know what I say about that I'm from California started working on cars in 1968 I was 8 years old still don't know anything people want to call me a mechanic and I say well if it runs after I work on it you can call me anything you want thank you for your videos I learn every day you smell what I'm stepping in have a good day later bro I got to remember that push that like button have you ever moved to California which I know you never will but you'd have to get 100 more people to work for you to keep up with your workload have a good one later
