This repair will be done using only a Harbor Freight $4.99 digital multimeter

This amplifier was sent to me by a friend who said it powered up but didn’t pass any audio. I outlined the steps that led to a successful repair.

Hey Ray. I am having trouble with the sound of my CD player going through the preamp, tuner/cassette player sound fine, why would CD player sound "staticy"?

I saw a Owon 1041 on the bench.
I have one.
Fix some things using a cheap multimeter is posible but unconfortable.
