We found a bunch of leaks in some Mitsubishi coils. In this video we replace one of them. The outdoor unit is a 12 ton VRF heat pump. The indoor unit is a one and a half ton concealed ducted indoor unit. Model number begins with PEFY. The coil was not particularly hard to replace but it did have a lead time from the factory and was a majority of the day affair.

Great video…..I can totally relate to all of it.
Those concealed units are a bear to work on. Never understood how a manufacturer can have enough coils to sell new units, but not enough to support the coils that leak in the field. It seems the market is shifting to throw away units that are meant to be replaced versus repaired much like window units. If you try to repair a window unit the parts are so expensive that it doesn't make since to repair them. I often wonder if that is the end goal of manufacturers now. Thanks for the video.

~$2300 labor for the leak search that took two guys all day
~$3700 for the several times we've filled up refrigerant
~$2000 for the coil replacement
