Approximately how many hours does it take a HVAC technician to install a quad zone ductless system? I am trying to determine total cost based on their hourly rate and total hours worked to install the system. If this job would require two or more technicians, then what is total hours combined needed to install the system.
Thank you!

hi how much is the installation ? we located in Maryland

Craig Hill says:

Good eye, I didn’t see anything on the video telling you how to run electrical back to the unit; Only wiring it inside the case.

Phoenix Local Businesses says:

Some good info on here.

BTUMECHANICAL HVACR says:

they left out so much , well anyway unless your in the HVACR business you will never be able to do this as a home owner , you need a lot of tools and equipment which they leave out, not to mention they did a sloppy job. Also don”t buy this system way to much wiring and they don”t tell you that you need power supply to the units from your main electrical panel ,if you even have enough room in the panel and they won”t do that for you.

Sorry for the delayed response. I didn’t know you responded to my message until today. I don’t plan on self installing. I’d like to have it professionally installed. I just wanted to have an idea as to how many outdoor units I would need to purchase in order to run 5 indoor units. Thanks.

Hi,

What tape is he using at 3.53?

Mysterious4561 says:

Thanks 😉 I had a Pro that came in recently and he told me its the compressor Motor that needs to be changed, can you verify that?

cgreen243 says:

You are wrong dehumidifying is just a natural “bystander” to cooling the air the process is called adsorption and what it creates is called condensate.

cgreen243 says:

Sounds like bad windings in the compressor but you can’t tell until you check it out, i suggest you call a pro!

cgreen243 says:

Do you have a vacuum pump and freon? Be leary some companies void the warranty if you self install!

cgreen243 says:

You must vacuum and charge the system..You have to have the proper equipment and the knowledge, some companies void the warranty if the homeowner try’s a self install!

cgreen243 says:

If you have the space i suggest a regular system..The install cost of this is through the roof, and moreover you don’t get proper air filtration from these things. They have their uses don’t get me wrong..

cgreen243 says:

No they make a seven zone system read my other comment about these things, if you have the room go with a traditional unit..

cgreen243 says:

You are wrong they actually make a seven zone one.

cgreen243 says:

No they make a seven zone one

snipe1963 says:

Right now, I believe you can get upto 3 zones off of 1 condenser, depending on the brand. Google ‘ductless mini-splits’, there are several sites that sell them.
The cost of the system does NOT include install. Depending on what state(US) you live in, you might be required to hire a licensed contractor.

incrediblex8 says:

Mico you need 1 outdoor unit for every one indoor unit . You cant connect 5 on 1

quiksilver1155 says:

cat at 2:16-2:17

MICO JONES says:

I’m looking to install several indoor units (around 5). Would I need a separate outdoor unit for every indoor unit I install? Or can I have 5 indoor units all attached to the same outdoor unit?

Hi there, what would cause the power line from the indoor unit to the compressor to burn out in a innovair ductless split system?

Eddy Zhu says:

The installation does like so simple to me. There is pipe cutting, electricial and penetrating through brick wall for me.

Dridi Skander says:

Thanks!

we had similar system in iraq it worked great.. great video love to have one, good and simple

oddomadic says:

There’s always humidity removal if its cooling. That’s why there’s a condensate line.
