From what I’ve researched, it looks like tach failure for the electronic Pajero tachometer is about 60% internal gauge wires (seen in video), 30% injector pump mounted sensor and 10% bad connection somewhere in between. I found a few weak or open circuits.
If you can’t fix your tach with what you see in this video, then you simply need to change your sensor at the injector pump.
I hope this video assists you in a successful repair of your tachometer! PLEASE LIKE, SUBSCRIBE and SHARE! THANKS!

Hi there man, ive been having an issue with my 2.5 turbo diesel Pajero. My revs work but my speedometer, Km count and even the one you reboot every time you fuel up stopped working. I asume it was after a mechanic fixed a leak on the diesel pump. They should be the same cables?? Thanks!!
