How to program a Mitsubishi key

How to program a Mitsubishi key

This method only works if the key was already program with the car, but lost signal over the years, sometime you need to replace the battery inside the key fob. The battery is a CR1620. This method doesn’t work with a New Blank Key.

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I have changed the battery and followed your steps. The light on the fob blinks just like yours after you've completed all of the steps, but it doesn't lock/unlock my car. The key won't start the car either. It looks like I'm following the steps correctly, so I'm thinking something else may be wrong. This key was previously connect to my car and lost connection over time.

Before trying your method, I tried another one that said to hold Unlock for 8, hold both Unlock and Lock for 8, release, hold Unlock for 4, turn switch on and off, hold both for 4, release, hold Unlock for 2, switch on and off. This method didn't work either and the fob didn't blink after the method was complete. Could this have messed up my fob?
