Tee Black says:

Exactly the same as my 2009 Lancer, thanks for the video, replaced the fan no problem.. hardest part was getting those damn plastic pins out! Glad I found a motor online on Amazon for about $50.. the dealer wanted $250!!!

AshCorona says:

I’m bummed

AshCorona says:

My air condition stop and I took it to the Mitsubishi dealer service center and they told me it was my blower motor simply so I found your video just did everything as you show but my fans not even working. Period. Any ideas? Everything is connected and turned on properly

hey people, just because your fan or blower is making a noise doesnt necessarily mean its bad. alot of times when you change your a/c filter or when you dont change it at all, leaves and twigs fall into the fan making all kinds of noise. sometimes you can stick your hand in there to fish them out. just dont do it while the fan is on.

Thank You So Much for such an Instructional and Educational Video, If it wouldn’t be for people like you, People like us would be dishing out Money for something that Is So easy to do, I Have a 2009 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS And It makes a Horrible noise coming from what it appears to be the Fan, I changed the Cabin filter, But Nothing, Noise is still there. I guess I will be needing an A/C Fan Very Soon. How much did you paid for your Fan?

LVzx2 says:

Glad I could help. So you had to splice the wires in yourself? If so , sounds its obviously not a direct replacement and or not for your car which could be the problem. Otherwise , as long as you wired right, that IS a freak problem you have there heh

LVzx2 says:

Sorry, didnt get notification of your comment. Its back and to the left of the motor by the air cooler. You should be able to find a pic if you google it if you havent found it already

Matthew Sunny says:

I like your video. Followed everything. Found the original fan shaft was actually broken. My replacement fan actually has a pigtail instead of a power socket in the fan itself. However after connecting the replacement to the Lancer, nothing happens. Connecting the replacement fan to a 12V battery, works, as does the blower motor. Connecting a volt meter to the connector, in the car, shows proper voltage, so that tells me the relay is working. I just don’t get it. Any suggestions welcomed. TY!

Chris Kirkendall says:

Thanks, I figured that was easy. Where is the resister located, if you know?

Alexandre Brière says:

Thank you for this video!

LVzx2 says:

Happy to help. As far as taking he motor apart, it may be tricky inside but if its already making noise , a cleaning probably wont help much anyway.

Thank you so much, thats cool savings for a change. I’m a disaster at major repairs but this should be a little easier, especially with all your added instructions. Mine works but is making some noise at times, off and on (2008). What’s the chances i try to clean the blower with an air buster can (but i bet the motor is all built in and difficult to open)? And putting the filter backwrds… thanks for the tip.

Frank Topkok says:

That was a great instructional video! Thank you, I’m going to change mine now.

LVzx2 says:

Ill put the link to where i got mine in the description for you

Hey do you know where can i buy a new blower motor?

Nisho66jr says:

Thanks a lot it help me. You save me some money. 😉

LVzx2 says:

Mine gradually went out over a couple days with a very feint noise and was getting very weak before it started not turning on sometimes ,then after a couple more days, not at all. I pulled out the filter to look at the fan while i turned it on and could see that it would slightly spin bout a 1/4 in. and thats how i figured it was probably the motor gone. And i didnt change the filter with it but it needed it so i did the next day. Just make sure you dont put the filter back upside down heh

MrMightyherc says:

Great post. Mine is making a horrible noise and its louder at times and quieter at others. Did you have to buy a new filter too or did you reuse the old one?
