I was going to do this to my 2009 Eclipse, thankfully I tried turning the
radio to AUX by holding the CD button before I spent any money. No go,
looks like anything after 07 you can’t do this mod.
Hello, I am tryin to install the same thing on my car. my car is eclipse
2009 GS.
However, when I look at the back side of the audio system, there was a 10
pins connector(not 22 pins or 14pins)
so I dont have where should I put the white, red, and black wires. Please
help me to solve it,

Guys…You dont need that cable. I did this about 20 minutes ago. I
clipped 3 wires off an old pc power supply that already had the connectors
on it, and i bought a $6.99 stereo cable from radio shack. I clipped off
one end of the cable and soldered the three wires to the left+ right+ and
common ground. On the diagram, the red is right+ the white is left+ and
the black is the common ground. It sounds as good as any cd with tons of
bass.
Is there any such thing as a “plug in bluetooth” adapter that connects to
the aux cable? Thinking of how one might possibly add bluetooth to the
Eclipse and then pair it to the bluetooth on my iPhone 5S.
I took off the stereo of my eclipse and I couldn’t put the cable on there
because there were cables already there. What should I do?
Can’t u directly connect 3 Rca cable that’s connected with 3.5m peel it off
and connect 2 red and white in the panel and yellow in ground will it
work.?
Did you ever try holding the CD button to switch to Aux before doing the
installation? And did the display function the same as it does now? (I
have an Infiniti 6-disc instead of Rockford Fosgate and I can’t get it to
go into Aux mode)
Hey I installed it and worked perfect even the bass , thank you. After two
days I had it installed ..my car struggling to start ..the battery is
getting drained . when I lock my car the beep sound is low . you think is
the cables or I need to ground them? I went to autozone and my battery is
good and so is my alternator. Any advice ..idea.
Really wish u showed how to get that piece loose to get wires in parts just
skips pass that part

My girlfriend got the one with the premium package (it has the little sub
in the back). Will this work for both?

I put the cable in, but the music is on full blast and the music is playing
low, what should I do fix so it plays music louder.
ok, I installed the aux cable (thanks to the video poster and his
paint-scraper idea-I didn’t disconnect the battery power), but I got an
error message on the screen: “Amp E Comm”…. I was frustrated cuz the amp
bass stop working… So I took the stereo off and checked all the cables to
make sure that there was nothing loose. Then I plugged everything up and
again… “E Comm” error… but this time, the stereo did not work at all…
for a third time, I took the stereo out, and checked all the connections.
Then, I plugged everything up and… NO error was detected!! Everything
started to work normally!!!!…. Can somebody explain me WTF was that?? I
got pissed at the beginning thinking about how much money I would spend on
the shop to get this sh*t fixed… but after it worked, I was happy as
hell… This was really weird… does not make sense at all…
So, where did you purchase this, and how much was it? I was thinking about
getting one that I can actually plug a 3.5 mm bluetooth jack into the
auxiliary itself.

I’m having a similar problem to what Jeremy is having, got the part from
the Mitsubishi dealership installed it correctly. I plug the 3.5 into the
headphone jack and switch it to aux. works but there is no bass nothing but
sound. When I plug in my charger it switches to phone on the display and
only plays through the passenger front speaker with bass. 2006 eclipse.
Rockford fosgate system. 6 disc changer. Using an iPhone 5, tried my iPad
mini and my old HTC, they all do the same thing. Any thoughts?
