Hey no problem,YES, That should be the same procedure on the 99 galant.

Irtaza Khalid says:

Thank for the upload. I wanted to ask if the same method applies to the 1999 Mitsubishi Galant.

Yea from US perspective I think they felt that the car could be watered down performance wise and increase the safety issues so maybe that why brakes are bigger. But the JDM’s are always better. better styling, more aggressive performance, and more options. but Ill take what I can get.

dcitmf says:

No I have not the suspension is stock, but you must remember it is stock for the USDM version of the galant. the suspension set up may be different on a foreign version. I would go to the galant Wikipedia page and look up the 8g it explains the USDM difference. and all 8g and 3 g eclipses are 5 bolt, I think the 7g is 4 bolt. all of the 1999 + Mitsubishis are 5 bolt

Good vid! Thanks

thanks Man awesome

dcitmf says:

yea sorry about that this was the first video I made in imovie so I didn’t know I could lower the soundtrack.

danielzee40 says:

soundtrack gets in way of narration!

dcitmf says:

If anyone has a question about something else on the car I can see about making a video or at least direct you to the answer.

dcitmf says:

in general this would work for every car. but the 8 gen galant is made of 99-03 galants so yes this will work for your 99. sorry for the late reply I have been roofing.

hp11208 says:

is this the same for 1999

dcitmf says:

Well, the soundtrack in the back is some track that came stock on a macbook so I’m not sure what it is anymore. As for things I have done, I have taken all interior out of my car and installed sound deadening material to the cabin. while there I did fuel cut button, my own fabricated trunk and system install, voltmeter led panel, upgrade ALL interior lights to LEDs, vinyl full interior in two tones, eclipse 3g 17″ wheels, silver tint, and got my head unit to play ipod videos.

mlgordon26 says:

Excellent video, man. What is the soundtrack in the background? I have a 2000 Galant and so whatever more tips and tricks you can post would be great!

dcitmf says:

Thanks I saw it in manual or in the pdf for the galant.

Baldr2 says:

Nice video man. The bolt trick to get the rotor off was pretty neat. Whacking it with a hammer sounds so stupid now.

dcitmf says:

thank you very much for watching the video. Once it gets warm here I might make some more videos of things I am doing. thanks again.

Ed Tonna says:

VEry informative also i have divx webplayer and the High quality made the video very clear. Just an extra fyi thanks for posting this.

dcitmf says:

no problem, I wish I could redo the video. I started to get some high pitch squeals so I switched to hawk pads and put brake quiet on the back of the pads. I also cleaned off the wheel hubs with a wire brush before putting the new hub on.

Hi, we have a Mitsubishi Galant 2000 ES 2.4IL DOHC. It needs brake replacement now. Could you please suggest the best brands that we can buy onile? cause the firestone and brakemasters gave quotes that are on the pricy side, so we were planning to buy the parts online and pay only the labor to get it fixed (we don’t have a garage to do it ourselves) Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!

Aaron Brown says:

Thanks for making this man, excellent job!
