Brainny Zuniga says:

Hey i have A 2000 mitsubishi eclipse V6 and have the same problem but the
water doesn’t leak in the drivers side, it leaks from the passenger side.
Any tips? need help, the water that comes back is flooding the passengers
side.

Great stuff..we’ll see if it works. I like this window weld..couldn’t find
it at local autoparts though and ordered in online. I expect it could be
used for a number of things. Honestly..they couldn’t have put this in a
worse spot. I’m not even sure I got the stuff on the underside of the vent
as I cant’ even squeeze my finger underneath. I never seen the water coming
out then sliding back back inside so I’m not positive this is my issue but
it is coming out between the firewall and ac box.

civicboy123 says:

@THEHOGZONE Nothing wrong with the cummins engine at all, great engine! The
rest of the truck was a POS! Tranny was kind of questionable. 5yr old truck
and the dash was already starting to crack. Sold it last week, didn’t want
to hassle with it. Looking to buy either a newer Tundra, or another F250
Diesel.

lguarriello says:

Thank you so much for this video. I have 2001 eclipse gt spyder and for the
past 6-9 months have had water in the front but thought it was coming from
the top. After finding online that it was indeed the ac drain I took to
Mitsubishi and they estimated $1000 to fix. We did exactly what you did on
video, window weld and all, and it worked like a charm. No need for lift or
drilling in box like I’ve seen on other sites. Took about 45 minutes and
cost $18.

punked6 says:

You can get window weld at o’reilly auto parts part # 8610.

ScotchIrishGurl says:

I have a great fix that my husband just did to my 2001 Eclipse Spyder. It’s
redneck ingenuity but who cares it works! Take a distributor cap boot (ours
came from a 1998 Civic) and put it on the end of the hose that is coming
out of the firewall. It has a 90% bend and a 15mm I.D. so it fits
perfectly! We had to remove the battery and the battery shelf, but it was
still pretty easy.

Mark Legaspi says:

if you zoomed it out then we might be able to see where it actually is in
the bay .. 🙁

Orelvis Martinez says:

Thanks a lot save me money

13cesaruanl says:

does this make your car give off a bad smell inside. during the summer it
would leak and smell. summer is getting closer and i need to fix it. this
is a perfect video…it better work!

muneer332 says:

hello sir, i have mitsubishi mirage, its passenger side becomes wet while
raining when we turn on the blower fan in air intake mode. what may the
problem

VanzEddy says:

Dude you don’t know what the hell your talking about. I have a 2000 eclipse
and just by taking care of it I have never had to put it in the shop for
anything more than oil and regular maintenance. Any car can break down if
you treat your car like shit.

Kerry Moore says:

Wish you were in Texas!! (Just found out we have this problem on our 2006
Endeavor)

punked6 says:

In the eclipse the crank pulley operates the ac compressor and alternator.
So if that belt is okay, then the ac clutch or the R 134A needs to be
replaced. The ac fan should kick on every 10 seconds if everything is
working properly, and the ac system is charged correctly.

Piano Otoko says:

Where can I get windo weld? I noticed my back floor board was soaked after
7 hours of driving back to college..and I think my car has the same
problem. I’d really help if you could respond.

ramrod972003 says:

Awesome vid man. Just bought one with thus prob and thought I was gonna
have to pull the dash. God bless you for real!!! Looks like $15-$20 and
about 30 minutes instead of 2 days of removing and replacing dash. Thank
you.

BandOfBros08 says:

Would it be possible to add an elbow hose and have it pointing straight
down?

THEHOGZONE says:

@civicboy123 Can I ask whats crappy about the dodge cummins? just curious,
My friend has a tundra loves it, by the way wish they would import the damn
diesel tacoma! I’ve owned a mess a toyotas in the past love em. After this
dodge goes south I’ll be looking at another ride. Hope they start importing
these diesels, only problem will be diesel and gas will be six bucks a
gallon

civicboy123 says:

I’m glad this video helped you. These cars for sure have many faults and
this is definately one of them. I should have done a video on the 3.0
leaking valve covers.

punked6 says:

It will still leak water with window-weld around the seal. All you need is
a large rubber washer and a grommet that fits snug against the tube. I have
the same car and the same water condenser issue. The car is just missing a
gasket.

PatricioCharlie says:

I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Mirage – I’m having the same problem, except the
leak is in the passenger floorboard. I’m having trouble finding the A/C
drain – I found something that might be a drain: it has a rubber nipple
that, when I pull it out, a good flow of water comes out – is this the
right spot?

civicboy123 says:

Glad it could help you! No more water on your floor board.

THEHOGZONE says:

I bet you pray for more room everyday!

brizad187 says:

i got a diff propblem i got freeon in my ac an when i turn my ac on the
light comes on but u dnt hear it kick on no more ..i lookd at the fuse it
seems good an other ideas?

Tyler Wilkerson says:

Good thing we all know what each part is when pressed up against our
faces…

Urusa17 says:

THANKS THANKS THANKS THANK u SO MuCH I FIXED My car no more problems
amazing amazing great to find people that have a heart to help others.

civicboy123 says:

@THEHOGZONE Thats why I would never buy a POS Mitsubishi, there pure JUNK!
I only buy Toyotas and Hondas. I sold my POS Dodge 2500 with the Cummins.
I’m looking at buying a newer Tundra, their sweet!

skip dennis says:

had the same problem. local mits service writer said $600 to clean out
drain. i found a 1″ long piece of 5/8 i.d. vinyl hose in garage and put
over this spout. no problems for last 2 years.

Blake Talman says:
