Jason Pez says:

@loladelola555 Make sure you connected your spark plug cables properlly.
cyl 1,3,and 5 are on the RH side or pass. side. front to rear. also make
sure your crank and cam sensors are connected.

“That’s Japanese cars for ya?” So shit cars like dodge, for, and Chevy are
much better. Other than the ford Gt. the gt40.. And the ford focus rs. All
these cars are crap. With the turning radius of a potato and they manage to
squeeze so little power from a v8. Yea it might take a bit more work to
maintenance these cars, but what’s better? A Nissan SR20 block, a Honda
block that will last 15-20 years with care. Or a Chevy block that needs to
be rebuilt after the 10 year period?

loladelola555 says:

I changed spark plugs as you described but my car won’t start up. Can you
post a video when you starting your car? Please, or respond to this post?

NICE VIDEO I HAVE 1 MONTERO…….NOT THE SPORT..

hetmanbasza says:

I always hated this motor! It is such aRoyal Pain in the Arse!! And it does
not just end on the engine! It like this all over. No wonder Mercedes
parted ways with Mitsubishi! This veh. was thrown together at a board room.
Engineers had very little to do with it unless they were also purchasing
agents. This is the best example of mainetnace unfriendly I ever owned.

Jason Pez says:

Center and work your way out. torque to 13ft/lb

tito140970 says:

Hi buddy from panamá thank you for your help, i got a question can i repair
a hydraulic tensioner of my montero nativa is a 6g72 motor, thanks for your
help

hetmanbasza says:

In the other bay of my garage sits my personal ride: 1983 240D. The easiest
veh. I have ever worked on. It takes me longer to lift it and take the
wheel off than to replace any part of the suspention! It took me 2 hr to
remove the transmision the first time and 45 minutes to put it back in. I
cannot compare these 2 vehs on any level including spare parts. The
differance is: Mercedes designed theirs to be worked on in the field.
Mitsu. only to be assembled in their plant one time.

FRED SATYRICON says:

what the fuck did I get myself into! wtf !!

DubHead210 says:

You sound like mclovin bruh.

Jason Pez says:

About 300 depends on the shops labor rate.

Alvaro Franco says:

te doy toda la razon, me esta costando cambiar las bujias de este carro

Shaka Alvarado says:

how much money in labor is that ?

Daniel Echavarria says:

its really not that bad..get urself extra three inch bolt cut off the head
use this to guide the intake back on

Jason Pez says:

Its most likely your torque converter clutch. try flushing the trans fluid
with SPIII trans fluid. then drive 25 miles or so doing many stops and runs
up to 40MPH then see if it gets better if not you may need a new torque
converter. This can be monitored using a scan tool that will read trans.
data.

Jason Pez says:

Only the upper intake plenum. But it does look like a lot

Daniel Echavarria says:

is 20 lb okay torq seq… this before i seen this video …fire up great..i
think i might have put vacuum holes in wrong end…still looking thru spec
cant find

TheChev98 says:

i have 2000 montero sport 4wd…truck shrudder or shake between speed 30-40
mph. do you have any ideas??? fyi i just change spark plug …its pain in
the ***s…

Brand1999 says:

Please, please, please turn OFF the fricken radio and speak clearly if you
are going to make a video! I can’t understand you so what’s the point!

James Charbonneau says:

So you have to completely disassemble the whole engine to change the spark
plugs. Wow thats a Japanese vehicle for ya

ns671fr says:

that’s a B just for spark plugs…

Tree Spazoid says:

Say by chance, you wouldn’t happen to know the intake manifold bolts torque
sequence or know of a good site to refer me to?

Jason Pez says:

I must disagree, after working on several makes Mitsubishi vehicles are
pretty user friendly I must admit the spark plug replacement is a bit much.
Check out a hyundai or a Chry. powered Eclipse head gasket or PT crusier
Timing belt just to name a few PITA jobs.

Edwin Rivera says:

Tanta mierda para cambiar unas bujias.. l hate these focking car..

Alexander Xiong says:

i hates mitsubishi monter, it toke me the whole day just to change the
spark plug.

Faisal Hamid Khan says:

Hey Jason, thanks for the videos. Very helpful. I have a 2003 Montero sport
XLS. When I start it cold, it hesitates for a few seconds and then idles
normal. Rpm goes from 1500 to about 1000 and back like 2-3 times then all
normal. It’s been doing that for the last month or so. No other problems.
Drives very smooth. What do you think is the most likely cause?

panama colon says:

MY IS 2001

cobranin says:

good mechanics , please video how to replace rear brake rotors and brake
parking brake shoes, thank you bro,

Jason Pez says:

could be several issues. Spark plugs or the plug well full of oil, fuel
quality, idle control system.

Tavo Garcia says:

Estos q fabrlcaron este motor complicaron todo por un simple cambio
candelas hay sacar tantas cosas
