Or you can red loctite it. It works
You're the effing man Andy
Can you put a dab of silicone on the last couple threads to keep it from backing out?
It's the simple things! Good tip.
I have the opposite problem I had the get the tilt trim unit out and the fuckin pin didnt want to move
You’re looking trim! Thx for the content.
What's wrong with blue loctite
It got me on tournament morning bolt fell out and motor was stuck trimmed down. Motor was a year old. 2022 proxs 200..
The bolts are probably vibrating loose because of the fantastic highways and interstates we have with foot deep fkn potholes every 50 yards.
Anyway I got a new bolt and recalibrate the trim sensor. Red lock tite on the bolt. Check before I go out every time to see if it’s loosened up. Nothing so far been 1.5 yrs since the problem
Just take a washer over the nut fasten it an bend the washer over it will never co.e off agai happend twice to me and my local guys at the shop did it for me.South Africa always makes a plan
Wait, what does the gorilla tape facilitate?
The fact that Mercury decided to design a motor that limits engine power based on trim position makes it a no go for me. Trim senders on all the makes can screw up. It’s not essential to the operation and should not cause other issues or reduce power because of incorrect trim sender readings. Just buy the Yamaha and have a great time.
Not in salt water. It will turn into rust and need a bracket in a few years. Paint marker.
Why not just use loctite purple on that bolt?
Should be a recall
That fucking piece of shit design right there cost me 30000.00
This guy's top shelf
Lousy audio ruined this video.
Why didn't you catch the mistake during post production?
You think all the room echo helps us understand what you're saying? Think again.
Get yourself a PERSONAL MIC and use it!
You're currently being foolish on camera.
Wake up. Figure it out. No more BAD AUDIO!! Sheesh.
I feel so out of touch. The last time I enjoyed outboard motors, 2 strokes were still the king, but starting to die off one by one. I am more of an old school Mercury kind of guy, or an Evinrude guy myself.
Merc #1 on the water !
Have you noticed if this is a problem for the Pro XS 150 also?
Is this a comon problem? Was gonna get a boat with a Merc . I guess I should not.
