Nice tech tip….Thanks! BTW, when my 86 150 Merc wouldn't go up I unscrewed the relief valve and lifted it manually…..not sure if your broken nylon head is for the relief, but mine isn't nylon and is on the opposite side. Nice Post!
Thanks for posting this. I busted the head off my trim release screw too. What I did differently though was I heated up the screwdriver then pressed that into the screw rather than heating up and melting the screw itself. Thanks for the idea.
