Shout out from miami FL , I had the same issue in the Ramp today , had to turn around and go home , took the shifter unit out the boat and disassemble it , btw running a 2stroke 1998 merc , the issue with mine is that it will not engage the gear it stays on as if the button was pressed after you lock out in neutral ,, thanks for the vid, I was about to make one on it since I could not find anything online on it either , like you I ordered a Chinese one on eBay and I am waiting for it to come in , if anyone knows where to get that pin online please post it up
