When are you going to make more vids

Alexander Boggia Lord says:

WhT has happened to the hendricson?

blazerlover25 says:

you are only dreaming this uxwbill it is only a dream..now go back to sleep
haha

uxwbill says:

Ouch! Since I seem to have a “knack” for parking the Caprice with one side
closer to the garage door opening than the other, I’ve been fearful of the
same thing. Someone took the passenger’s side mirror off the ’88 Reliant
wagon, and included a replacement with the car. It was also really easy to
replace.

CrazyPainter1000 says:

You lucked out in the price years ago when I had my Nissan ultima commuter
car I was getting gas and a guy in a van backed into my passenger side
mirror. He ripped it clear off the car, sad thing is I was inside paying
for my gas and other people told me who did it he just drove away. Maybe he
didn’t know he hit my car but I’d guess he did know. It cost almost 500.00
to repair all the damage, that is parts and labor.

zx8401ztv says:

lol, bill your just a trouble maker… good :-)) lol “Road sofa” nice lol
🙂

uxwbill says:

Wow! “First” video in quite a while from the Keykeeper!

zx8401ztv says:

Well im sure if i had a smack on the back of my head at 30, i would have
trouble ha ha :-)) Im supprised at you mr keykeeper, i would of thought you
would rip it to bits to see if it could be repaired. Get bill or bfh on the
case lol :-))

uxwbill says:

That’s the employee price. It’s supposedly quite a bit more for mere
mortals. (Disclaimer: Haven’t researched it myself. Took the Keykeeper at
his word on that. What, you expect a random person on the Internet to fact
check?! 😉 )

MrMaguire says:

Strange, it looks very white in the video. Do you still have the white
LeSabre that was on the farm?

yorgle11 says:

A previous owner of my car wasn’t too bright, and installed some random
driver side mirror he got at AutoZone or a junkyard or something. He
drilled about 15 holes into the door before he found a combination that fit
the 2 mounting posts. Upon buying the car, I found a factory OEM mirror on
eBay, cheap. It installed easily and correctly. But the damage is done, the
door skin looks like it’s been hit with a shotgun. It’s definitely one of
those “I’d love to strangle the PO” situations.

zx8401ztv says:

Slap your brother bill, he is talking about spending money on a new mirror
without trying to repair the old one first ha ha :-))

Rocking Dustpan says:

Plastic, but hard plastic at least on the top end.

Matthew Poole says:

haha you done fucked it up! 140 is expensive. iv gotten pissed at my mirror
and broke it because it was just junk.

james42519 says:

was your car recalled for potential corrosion to their steering shaft?

dcformee123 says:

Man you messed up your poor pretty beautiful car

Daniel Alpert says:

How is the Green truck coming? Did you get the engine back together yet?

james42519 says:

also my passenger mirror on my 96 ponatic sunfire came off in the car wash.
had them get it and was cracked but put back on. it just had 2 things that
went in and held on with 2 clips it seems.

MrMaguire says:

1:45 White Buick?

walshmonster2005 says:

Green truck is coming along pretty good, don’t have that much left to
finish up. I’ll have a video up this weekend.

uxwbill says:

I have to give him some credit for taping it back on, even if it’s only a
temporary fix. I think I can safely say (now just watch this!) that both he
and I are trying our best to keep our “endangered species” road sofa cars
in as good a condition as possible, since it looks like there won’t ever be
any more.

uxwbill says:

Sure. Youtube’s commitment to data integrity and accurate reporting of said
data means you can subscribe, and subscribe, and subscribe and subscribe
again. Most any Stereo Dust Particles product you’d care to name is likely
to be more reliable than this site! Was it a metal or plastic garbage can?
Perhaps somewhat ironically, I’d expect a plastic can to possibly do more
damage!

walshmonster2005 says:

:- O

uxwbill says:

No, it’s the good old silver ’88 Buick that we’ve had for a while now.

ataristeve says:

Your video reminded me of my ’93 Taurus that I was backing out of the
garage once. I was concerned with looking at the passenger side mirror to
make sure I wouldn’t hit the car parked in the driveway. Got halfway out
the garage and heard a “crunch” along with breaking glass. It was the
driver’s side mirror. Got a replacement from a junkyard, and got it fixed.
Didn’t seem to be too difficult.

Ben's Telephone Collection and Sundry says:

Yay, your uploading again!

uxwbill says:

Okay. Sleeping’s one thing that I’m good at, so I’ll get right to it.

Rocking Dustpan says:

I’ve already subscribed. So do I subscribe again? 🙂 The problem we have
is folks who put their garbage cans too far onto the street. My friend was
driving along in my neighborhood and smashed her mirror on one of those
garbage cans. It completely shattered the glass and the plastic assembly.
What’s worse, she wasn’t going that fast. The moral of the story is: Don’t
put your garbage can in the street lest it and your trash goes for a ride.
Driving, not talking on the phone, helps also. ha

vwestlife says:

There’s one car wash around here that has a sign stating that certain GM
models are at risk for having their mirrors damaged due to their design.

blazerlover25 says:

wow good cheap fix but there was no need for a new mirror the tape does
just fine lol speaking of a bizzarre traffic accident..I was in my s10 in
the big city and it was raining and I was on an off ramp trying to get on
the interstate and my truck spun out and I did a 360 almost hitting a
guadrail with traffic flying by as i was spinning..that was exciting to say
the least!

WinVistaUser2 says:

The one time I backed onto my driveway with the right side mirror right at
the metal fence post at 2-5 MPH with my mom’s 1999 GMC Safari, and I did
this 4 times, and the mirror almost fell off since it lost its stickiness
since the van’s caliper and brake line(s) were shot and so was the battery.
Fortunately, I grabbed the glass off before it was too late, but my parents
ended up getting a new one with the caliper, lines, and battery at my car
repair shop over a year ago in January.
