Should this be done often I got a 2011 Yamaha 25 4 stroke

I had a prop strike and bent the prop shaft. The bend wasn’t even
noticable. I was getting water in the lower unit and the only way it can
get in is through the top seal where your impeller is, or through the prop
shaft. The marine shop checked it all out and the shaft had a slight bend.
I was told they have to run completely true otherwise water will get in
