This is part one of a two part series showing in full detail how to install Mercury’s 40 ELPT 4S CT, also known as the Mercury 40 hp Four Stroke Command Thrust. We cover hanging the engine, installing the control box, ignition, Vessel View, and more. This engine will install the same as the 50 hp and 60 hp Mercury four strokes too (standard and command thrust models)…and these motors are extremely common over the last decade so there’s a good chance of needing help installing a used model of these motors you may have purchased.

Wow! Awesome video! Has all the info for installing easy, but I wish you would have listed all the parts you used because I need everything you installed for 60 hp I need to mount. When I go online to get them order it's hard to sift all the crap to get right parts the first time….
