Cool, thanks!

I was replacing rotors because the old pads had damaged them. If there aren’t grooves in the old rotors and they aren’t warped or rusted, you should be able to get by without replacing them.

Awesome how-to. Question though, do I have to replace the rotors when replacing pads? Or were you replacing your rotors because the old pads tore them up?

I used this video as a guide for changing the brake pads on my ’05 Montego today. Everything went well and I saved a good bit of money by doing it myself. Thanks for the video!

Nice detailed instructions. You should also mention in your title “Ford Freestyle” because the Five Hundred and Montego are built on the same chassis and uses the same parts as well.

Yesterday I helped my friend change his rotors on his 2005 Ford 500 by prepping with your video. I came back this morning to say thank you for posting this video. I was able to help my friend save money by doing the job ourselves. Thanks for taking the time to do this video.
