Hi Sterling thanks for the great video. I wasn't sure about taking this maintenance on but after watching your video I think I can do this without much trouble. Your detail is awesome. I have one question though. When bolting the lower end back up with the 3-10mm stainless bolts do you use any anti-seize on the threads? Actually I would like to know if I should be using anti-seize on any stainless bolt going into aluminum? Thank you in advance. Greg

Hi Martin.
Watching u from France. I just bought a 9.9 mercury 2strokes, and your video just helped me a lot for my first steps with my new engine. Thanks a lot.

Great video! Would the 5hp 2-stroke Mercury be different and different kit (guessing same vintage as the one in the video)?

Thank you very much, Mr. Martin. I had the bright ideal a year ago to replace my water pump, I taken it apart ! and now what's next , well as Don Buck said thanks for a well prepared video . Do you carry the water pump kit?

Eric Eckhardt says:

Do you know what the part number would be for the oil seal on the drive shaft under the water pump? I think that is where I am getting water in my lower unit.

Don Buck says:

Thanks for a well prepared video. One of the best tutorial on replacing a water pump I've viewed.
